Hello ladies and gents!! Sorry I've been M.I.A... I was battling a deathly Flu. But never fear I am officially back!!
Topic of discussion is LIPS! We use and abuse them everyday. I chose this in particular body part, mainly because of this winter weather. Since I work with faces all day, this is an area I've felt needed some serious S.O.S, so I've come to the rescue! Where shall we begin, how about maintenance? I would like to start by saying are lips are the main focal point of the face. When we speak people look at our mouths and there is nothing more distracting than chapped, peeled, split and sometimes bleeding lips. Let's make a habit of nourishing our pouty pillows, so that what we say is the focal point and not what are lips look like.
One word Aquaphor! Yes that petroleum like substance is a savor! I have such a love for this product, and stand by it over anything else! Let me give you a little history between me and this precious commodity. First off I use this everyday on almost everything, but I especially use it on my pout. The reason I became addicted was that I was put on a medication called Accutane (for acne) for 9 months. If any of you are familiar with the medication then you know how drying it can be to your skin. Everything I used made my lips crack and peel, except for this liquid gold. Every day, every night and every time I used this magic elixir it was like water to a sponge. I never left the house with out it and still don't.

(This is what the ointment looks like.)
Now, before I put on any lipstick or gloss I use my favorite tinted lip balm Fresh Sugar Lip Treatment. They have multiple shades so depending on the color lipstick I chose the appropriate color. The reason I'm a fan of this brand is because it moistens the lips, smells delicious and boy do I have to tell you how often I am complimented by men that my lips taste delicious (don't judge me, just saying lol)! I must say they are pretty pricy at $22.50 a pop, but well worth it. And if you ladies were lucky enough to go to Sephora during Christmas time, they came out with a special mini edition for Christmas stocking stuffers, that had every color (which I bought!) Did I mention they last forever, so it's a great investment. Some of my favorite colors are Rosé, Berry, Honey or if I'm feeling like I want a natural look I use the colorless lip balm. After applying a small amount of Sugar Lip Treatment I then proceed to apply either gloss or for something with more pizzazz a lip liner, followed up with a lipstick and a touch of gloss in the middle (gloss makes the lips look more full and pouty).
(Some of Fresh Sugar Treatment lip balms magnificent shades!)

Now that you're all ready and set to go, show off your kissable pout to the world or to your newest beau!
Xoxo Make up lover,
